65 Cyclone factory options

Post by Tollerdad68 »

Does anyone have a factory invoice to determine what options were available for 65 Cyclones? Since Marti Reports aren't available maybe we could compile our own data to determine the uniqueness of our cars? My 65 Cyclone has no power steering, no power brakes, radio delete, no washer reservoir, red ext, white int, 4 speed, console, dash tach. Are there other options?

I have a copy of Illustrated Facts & Features manual that was supposedly in dealer showrooms at the time . they are available on ebay, amazon ,autokrafters & probably other comet parts venders.
https://www.amazon.com/Cyclone-Caliente ... B09MDMKR64
it has all of the options for all of the comet models. there are lots of other details in it so it's worth the money just to have it on hand.

Mine originally had a vinyl top. Only has the belt trim between the rear window and trunk lid now.

To the original poster, you said that your Comet came originally with radio delete.
Does the right front fender have no hole for the antenna, or is there a delete plate on the fender?
I've never seen a '64-'65 Comet with original radio delete.

Other options available were the 289 Hipo package and a fiberglass hood (see Jims car above). Both very rare.

Mine is a factory special order with FG hood, remote door mirror and dashpad delete. Also the glove box door is welded shut but that's probably from a previous owner.
