My 64 sounds like a VW beetle on take off?

I just recently had this problem start up, on take off it sounds like a 66 vw beetle. And when I kick it into drive the car begins to shake. If anybody has any positive words, I would gladly appreciate.

My first guess would be the possibility of the timing being off.
