It originally had the 7.5(it was an inline six car).So I never had a drive shaft that worked with the V8.I will need a custom slip spline driveshaft made up or piece one together from two I have laying around.reason being is my transmission is out of a 1970 F100 and has a bolt on yoke instead of a slip.Oh the joys.

I see! Sounds like fun! I'm going from an 8" to an 8.8" was just curious. I've heard theres a 1" difference but I don't know for sure.

Well I hit my first real snag.My steering box is toast, may be the problem that put this car out of commission.I pulled the top and its packed full of rust.Soooooo I ordered a 65 mustang steering box and all 65 V8 mustang steering components except the centerlink,I got one for a 65 falcon.

But I did get the engine bay cleaned up and cut out the rot and welded in new metal.

It isn't the best job but it will do.I was going to toss the motor back in today but I'm leaving it out until I get the new steering box in.I cleaned and repainted the engine and tossed a new set of covers on it.My old covers had a crack. But thats pretty much it for now.

Thanks Loner.Hopefully when I move onto the body I can do half as decent as you have on your car.

Ive been trying to make the most of my new three day weekends so today I went out and fabbed up a beefier trans crossover.I have a truck C4 in there so I plan on making a mount that hooks up to the new crossover.

Old and New.

Thanks pops and rocket989.

I have not been messing with the car to much this last couple of weeks but I did go out there and get the rear end welded to the plates and get my sway bar mounts welded in and mounted.

Its a terrible picture, but its all in.
