HC 404 build

Post by Hubert Cumberdale »

Meant to give this a try a few months ago but with the funds so tight I knew I would'nt be giving much updates but oh well here goes.I chop out bikes for fun but got the car bug again so I started looking for a cool car to build.I was thinking about a 65 falcon 64 fairlane when I stumbled across a picture of a 64 Comet 404 and was smitten on the spot , I had to have a 404.So a few weeks later I pick up a two door 404 and was happy as a school girl.So far I have dropped(crammed)the pretty warmed up 351 Windsor I built 7 years ago into it made some headers fit very very snug(not in pic).Put a disc brake kit up front and put on the hood ,nothing crazy. When I get the money from a bike im building the next step will be getting my axles cut,im going to cut the housing myself(9''Ford)So there you have it so far.
hopefully the pics work.

went to look at it

I THINK WHITE IS THE COLOR, MAYBE BECAUSE MINE IS WHITE?? IT SURE IS COOL ON THOSE HOT SUMMER DAYS. MY CAR IS A 202, BUT YOU CAN SEE WHAT THE CAR WOULD LOOK LIKE BELOW. I LOVE THE 351W MOTOR, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SOME MORE PIC'S. GOOD LUCK... STROKED

Hey guys since I posted last I got around to cutting up my 9''.I ended up sending my axles to moser and cutting 8'' out of the housing myself.Got it all welded up and here it sits mocked up in the car.The stance is dead on,just what I wanted
