New to the list

Post by 64Cyclone »

Hi all,

I just signed up here last week. I have a 64 Cyclone that I purchased two years ago out of California. It's a rust free70k miles project car. It came complete (minus the drive train) right down to the tach. I am just getting started on it it. The plans are for a R&C mustang IFS, 4.6 DOHC and a T-45 5 speed. I have all the parts, it is just a matter of finding the time to get going on it.

Welcome Doug, I'm going to have a hard time keeping all you cyclone people straight

Sounds like a cool car 8)

Keep us posted on your progress, I can't make any on mine so I love to hear about other guys who actually get to work on something.

Looks like you have a nice roster of cars.

See Ya,
Mike

Wade,

I bought a low mileage 4.6 out of a Mark VII for $300. It's the same motor as in the Cobra mustang. The Lincoln however has a really cool looking intake with all the tubes. It has about 300 HP stock, so it should make the cyclone really go, but with great gas mileage.

I bought a brand new 98 T-45 5-speed off ebay for $400. The last year of the mechanical speedo. The plan is to have the shifter come up through the tray on the console.

The car is orginally light blue with a black interior. I bought a new gray interior kit and plan on painting the car a deep bright blue (electric bue perhaps mopar has). Other than the color and the shifter, the car will appear completely stock from the outside, including the wheel covers.

I agree the 5.4 would be really a great motor. If I find one in the future, it would be a simple swap.
