Just like everything else it all looks great Lou. yea the trim really sets off the vinyl top Did you tint the back glass yourself or what? are the side windows going to be tinted?
also I think that's the first glimpse I've seen of the trans. is it a mustang tailshaft? comes thru the floor in about the same place as mine but I have a more swept back shifter arm & is needed for my seats moved to the rear 3''.

Thanks John. Yea the glass is what they call smoked. I bought the whole set.
Yep that is a mustang tail shaft. I wanted the shifter closer than the stock location,, esp with the short straight handle of the V-Gate. And the mustang tail shaft had the mount at the rear.
My seats move pretty far back if need be. I got shifter linkage yesterday so hopefully they will fit without much modification.
Nice job on that rear window trim! I tried and failed to do it myself. Had a couple glass guys I know come over after work to help and it basically took all three of us.

I had a buddy help me. The lower corners were a little bit of a pain but got it in first try ,,,yay. Now the windshield took me three tries and still not completely happy with it, but haven't finished the trim on the windshield yet.
Well the shifter install kit came this week and the package was missing the 1/2 shift rod. Called hurst and they don't send small parts. They will replace the kit but estimated date is Aug 20. Amazon/Jegs don't have anymore so they will refund my money. So I ordered a kit from Summit that was scheduled for delivery Fri. Still waiting.
While waiting for the kit I installed my tach.
With tach installed dash is pretty much done
I also cut out my rear package tray, put it in place but will need to be removed for sound deadener.
Also finished rear seat brackets, and started planning on trunk and small stuff.
Looking good Lou, will be on the road soon. Are you putting a Hurst or the Mr.Gasket V-Gate? Tach looks real good mounted up there!
That’s a sharp 57 going up on auction, can’t imagine what it’ll bring. A buddy of mine back in high school had a beautiful black 57, he put a GTO 389/tri-power in it, was pretty bad.

Thanks Lee. I am using a Mr Gasket V-Gate. I ordered a Hurst install kit just to get a head start. This way I don't have to make the rods from scratch. Hopefully with a few minor mods this kit should work.

Thanks again. Yea real curious to see what it brings.
Lou, this car along with your craftsmanship continue to amaze. The question on mine (and perhaps others minds) is... will it make it to Pidgeon Forge one day? Cause that will probably guarantee the highest attendance/turnout ever.

30,000 miles on our rebuild
I can count on one hand - wait, one finger - the number of these cars I've seen with the vinyl top- amazing! I did find one in a scrap yard once but the trim was gone.
Great job, love the details. More more!

Thanks Groover. Yes Pidgeon Forge is on the list, maybe this coming year if car is done. Ford of Carlisle is the same weekend and always enjoyed going to Carlisle. But if car is done and running good Pidgeon Forge will prob win.

Thanks Dan. Always liked vinyl tops. The trim was very hard to find.
