rear wheels are 15x15 with 31 18.5 tires
motor is still up in the air i am thinking bbf blown or 8 stack i sill have to talk to engine guy and see how close to 1000hp we can get
How 'bout one of those 385 Boss 9s probably do a 1000 without a blower!!
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

What is the back spacing on your rear wheels and axle flange to flange? I'm doing a 4 link back half on my '64. I'm trying to find time to draw the car and chassis on CAD but after doing all day for a living it's tough to go home and do it too.

When you pull your rear wheel/tire off, can you clear the lug studs without issue?

thanks!
chassis width is 22in back space is 6.5
with old chassis i had to drop both shocks lift body then rear end
off top of my head i am not sure flange to flange is
but i am going to have a 9 in built for it and make it 2 in wider (ever thing in the car is ford so rear end should be to)

Looking good guys, man its a lot of work but it speaks for itself when done.full frame should help out with 1000 hp and the fats outback. my backhalf is 24 wide so when I had the rear built the housing is only 36 inches wide and 39 inches face of rotor to face of rotor, there was hardly any room for 4 link brackets. I went with a narrowed 9 inch with a n case and 35 spline Detroit locker that should work well with 1000 hp 8)

Looks awesome! Even for a '64

New school engine option: forced induction Coyote!
I think with a pair o' hair dryers 1k hp is easy!

Hey everyone. Progress on this slowed to a near stop a few years ago as Kevin (mahorsc) battled cancer and relocated home before passing. His project is now up for sale. All info and contact can be found in this Facebook post.
Take care everyone.

Thank you. I wish I did, but I still have tabs on it. The trifecta of layoffs, divorce, and medical issues hit me hard too, so it gone but not far.

Also, maybe the link will work

Tristan! I've wondered numerous times what became of you. I checked your member page several times, but you hadn't logged on for quite a while, so figured it wouldn't do any good to message you. Sorry to hear about Kevin, and sorry to hear of your troubles, too. Hope you can get back on an even keel soon. Don't let your current lack of a Comet keep you from staying in touch with us. Hopefully, you'll find another one and drop back in the groove. Good luck!

Jim
