speaking of fast hounds,,,OL POP had a red bone named OL fiddler,,when I took him huntin,,,I brought along a certain size 2x12,,he'd stare at it for a few minutes,,,,wasn't long I had a coon within inches of that 2x12,,,one night I forgot that 2x12,,,,but there was a half sheet of plywood in the back of my PU....I dropped the tailgate,,,he hit the ground with his nose to the dirt,,,the earth shook ,I noticed my CB ant shakeing and POOF ,and like a thief in the night OL FIDDLER was gone,,,I stood there listening to his bark for hrs,,then it faded away,,,,that was going on 7 yrs ago ,,,,ain't seen him since,,,,,but you know,,,even now in the middle of the night ever so often when just after a light rain shower am out on the porch on the south end of the house takeing a whiz,,,I think I can still hear him,,,ain't for certain cause my hearing at what it use to be...sure wish I'd left that piece of plywood at home.....pop
POP is lost for words ....do y'all really buy that ??
I think he always got lots a words,, hehe
Another thought, if Norman Rockwell was around today he would have
Pops pose for one of his famous paintings,,
"Peein off the Porch"
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about?
it would be a pose from behind,FRED,,,am to shy to turn around........besides,,the wind blows from the north, down here mostly........you always face south off a porch.......pop
OL FIDDLER was gone,,,I stood there listening to his bark for hrs,,then it faded away,,,,that was going on 7 yrs ago ,,,,ain't seen him since,,,,,
He jumped a old buck, Pop. Got his blood boiling and nature took over.
