63 Convertible Build
63 Convertible Build
Summer of 2018, stopped by my sisters place to look at her husbands 63 Comet convertible with the intention to purchase as a winter project to kick off my retirement. Looked the car over and decided to take it off their hands, but my sister had a plan! I do a lot of woodworking, from kitchen cabinets to furniture, so as I had renovated her previous kitchen, she now wanted the same at the farm. Measured everything up and off home I went to work on pricing. She called a couple days later and thought that we maybe could barter, cabinets for car! Long story short, we agreed, and in the summer of 2019, cabinets were installed and car was on a trailer back home. Brother-in-law, inherited from his Dad and over the time they had the car, would take it on the country roads around their farm, so new battery and she started up to load and unload. Pictures to come on what has been done to date!

Seems all my photos are too large for uploading to the site. Will see if I can resize them?

Photobucket basically became ' Photo-bucks' - Subscription pricing is costly for casual users and you can't search for a user' account pictures if not a subscriber.
Currently using 'Postimage.org.' = Similar to original Photobucket, works and still free for now - ( probably until they get enough users , now offer "premium" ? ... )

Looks pretty good to me. None of that rust looks to have gone all the way through. I've definitely seen worse
I like the color. Have fun with this and keep posting photos.

It is Black Cherry, and will have the original medium/light Ivy gold interior.

Unique color combination. Back when there were more choices.
With Groover, she's definitely a keeper. Glad you are keeping it on the road!
