does anybody have a pic of the part of the cross member that bolts in and holds the trans in. also, is it the same as a falcon? my '64 didn't come with one. maybe someone has an extra one willing to sell. it seems like their few and far between around here. thanks, gary

Not sure it matters, manual or automatic transmission?

The swaps I've done on 61 and 63 cars used different length cantilever spring with OEM crossmember for different trannys - 2.77 vs Dagenham vs Fordo' automatic.

Question please:
You guys with HiPo 64/65 Comet setups: - do you still use the Cantilever spring tranny mount?.

Many swap out to the aftermarket style "C4 Conversion Tranny mount" which seems a better choice. I use the aftermarket and adapt it for HiPo use.

... popular aftermarket "C4 Conversion Tranny mount" for 60-65 (?) :

T5 with notched xmember and aftermarket mount - OEM Xmember cutting needs help to maintain structural integrity:

modified mount and xmember for cut/notched OEM body crossmember to fit T5 tranny shift box - attaches to frame connectors:

(61 Comet was 2.77 swapped to 3.03 then T5 - '63 Wagon was 2.77 swapped to Dagenham then T5.)

'63 1/2 Borg-Warner T-10B, yep. Use vibration damper as well on tailshaft.
Don't know about the later T-10H.

I did not want an aftermarket mount and the spring on my factory mount was cracked. (BW T10)
I decided to duplicate the shape of the spring in half inch steel, I formed the shape and drilled the necessary holes. I did not use the factory type parking brake hardware because it interfered with my driveline and exhaust system.

I have all the original hardware but cable disconnected for reasons stated.

I ditched the original style with the leaf spring. The C4 conversion mount uses the standard rubber mount you can get anywhere.
Here’s the conversion style https://www.ebay.com/itm/203081250651
