B interesting to see what it sells for, sitting at 5500 at the moment!
Looks to be a great driver.
Owned for 4 decades but spent the last decade detailing it,
sure is tidy!

I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

I'm betting reserve is $15K, Fred.

I concur, being it has factory A/C and P/S.
Why would someone put a shift kit in a 2V car w/ 2.80 gear??? :? That's a wonky idea, IMO.

Man, our cars gotta be the most underated, inexpensive collector cars out there!!!
That car was an incredible example.
Costs as much probably more to build as a 65 Mustang fastback sells for a quarter the price! ?

And you can build a Mustang practically from scratch out of a catalog. No need to scour for a decent parts car or find someone with a hard-to-find part squirreled away in their garage for a small phenomenal fee. If you scaled in a time/effort cost factor, the Mustangs would go for a quarter the price.

YEA ,kinda upsetting isn't it !!! just proves all this time and work and money you invest in a comet..you had better be ready to just drive it,,cause you may not sell it for much more if any....my 67 S code FSTBK stang body only is worth more ,,,,,maybe that's why comet lovers are by themselves,,,,or lonely at a car show..but on the other hand I ain't never liked a crowd  pop

You nailed it Pop!
I always remember the story back in the '70s when we were all street racing and everybody dissed the Mustangs, called them 'girly' cars. There was one FoMoCo everyone feared and it was a Comet owned by a pair of brothers. They didn't hang with the crowd either but they had big time street cred! :D
