It’s back on BAT
It’s back on BAT
Re listed on Bring a Trailer, no reserve this time.
I was polite on my comments about this car the last time I posted the listing.
This time I will say that is is more the rough around the edges, the workmanship is actually scary. If I was the seller (a dealer) I would be concerned about liability issues.

Re: It’s back on BAT
Hunh, for sale in Florida, Alabama registered. Alabama doesn’t issue titles for cars that old, wonder if they’re going to do a Florida title.
Jim, what do you think that thing is worth, if you were to buy it?
I see in the write up it’ll come with Florida reassignment paperwork. I wonder if that’ll work for those states requiring a title, like Florida?

Actually I would have no interest in anything but a few parts that are on the car. The FE valve covers are cool but I already have a pair of them.
As a complete car- maybe $2k (my opinion)

Didn't check the undercarriage pics last time. You aren't joking.

Selling a car with livery paint knocks $$ off the top, IMO. Like buying a house full of lime green shag carpetLou's Comet wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:15 amSeen this car at Kissimmee. Car was rough! Was actually surprised at what it brought

Those fuel pumps, lines are crazy! or maybe those are just fake, just for looks, shocked looks!
Re: It’s back on BAT
From what was posted in the comments, sounds like a title can be gotten easily. Interesting. I sorta like the car, would like it better with the graphics off (which the owner say’s they’ll peel off easy).

Re: It’s back on BAT
Way too much rubber fuel lines. Love how the rubber fuel line wraps around the shackle in the rear.... Also, battery cable passes through metal without a grommet among many other things. If my 19 year old built this thing I would talk him through fixing the issues and explain why this is not safe, but to think this is up for auction on a reputable auction service is scary.

So my negative comments were not too harsh when I initially posted this?
Jim
I just noticed the rear end housing mounts, it does not look like there are any. The stock shock mounting plate is inverted with the Cal Trac mount below the stock plate. I cannot see if the housing has a mounting or if the U bolts are the only thing keeping the housing from rotating. This has to be one of the worse examples of poor workmanship I have seen in quite a while. I might have to lower my $2k to $50.00, and that is being generous.

Re: It’s back on BAT
Jim, first time you started a thread on this vehicle I personally did not look close at all the pictures. This thing is potentially dangerous to its new owner for sure. I have seen some hacked up stuff at local cruises but not like this. The trans cooler location is not only lazy, but dangerous and how is it going to get air flow anyway?

Was surprised at how much it brought, $26,000. The car was a mess. In this instance maybe the livery paint helped the price? Could have distracted people from the shabby workmanship??Joe Travers wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 11:13 amSelling a car with livery paint knocks $$ off the top, IMO.
