Not a factory Hi-Po car don't be fooled.
Re: Nice 64 Cyclone at Mecum tomorrow
Typical Mecum car, too shiney in the wrong places, missing important parts. The interior looks ragged, the wheels and lack of stance are a turn off.
Someone will no doubt raise their hand for a ridiculous price.
Just my opinion.

Reminds me of a song "She aint pretty, She just looks that way. the side profile looks very nice and I like the stance .The rest not as much,I would still like to have it.To sit beside my 65 as a his and hers set.

Don't know, you would think if it was something special they would have a picture In the one picture it looks like the headliner is coming loose on the drivers side sail panel.popscomet wrote:what is special about the headliner ? ..pop
I do like the car. Body figment/gaps, paint looks great. Like the stance and overall appearance. Not a fan of the big wheels with low profile tires but that is a personal opinion. Interior could have been detailed better.
Just a guess but thinking somewhere in the 35-40K range? Last year they had a black 65 that brought over 50.

Looks like typical low rate ACC carpet, poor fit and fading already. And those weren't hipo if memory serves me.

I totally understand the value of the 64 Cyclone but to me without the side trim of the Caliente these cars don't do it for me.
I dislike the stance and wheels too but ya paint and gaps, someone spent good money there.

dont forget the puny tires Fred! I think if it had some bigger sidewalled tires ,& wider in the rear would look so much better. Even with those tall wheels if it had more rear tire , would make this car sit better. & easy enough to change. The real turn off for me is the owner bragging K code. he is either a dummy or hoping to trick a dummy. makes me think, what else is he trying to build up or misrepresent?SASSY wrote:I totally understand the value of the 64 Cyclone but to me without the side trim of the Caliente these cars don't do it for me.

still good to see some of our cars getting recognition. a few short years ago this car would struggle to bring 10-12gs.
but even with it's faults I think it will bring 17-25 gs.

You're right Pop, I overlooked that.
And I bought low profile wide tires for the back of my Falcon in order to achieve the ride height I wanted, sux.

Re: Nice 64 Cyclone at Mecum tomorrow
that K code in a comet sure mis-leads people...I thought the same thing many yrs ago when I 1st read it on mine..then I looked at the engine and took notice,,I had messed with so many mustangs,I knew the diff....then I kept on reading more info on the comet,,,then I knew 'zactly what I had...lack of correct info brings that old saying--open mouth insert foot to the fore front pop
