289 - 302
Re: 289 - 302
I am presently removing a V-8 260 and Auto trans from my '63. Engine will need a rebuild because of a tap and trans has low miles on a full rebuild. Let me know if interested.

Where you located?
Re: 289 - 302
Also, a 6 cylinder trans will not work with a V-8 tranny...
Re: 289 - 302
I am in upstate ny and I don't have the original motor or tranny I plane on putting a 302 and a c4 trany & 9inch rear in it just need to know out of what year mustang will all of that will just bolt up to my 61 comet thanks
Re: 289 - 302
The quick answer to that is none as far as I know, there is going to be some kind of modification required because 61 Comets never had a V8 in them, someone can probably give you the information for the easiest way to do it but the early Comets have smaller engine bay than the Mustangs.ken81 wrote:will all of that will just bolt up to my 61 comet thanks
Sorry I can not be more help than that but I have never done anything remotely like you want to do, but I am sure it is very doable.
