63 interior
63 interior
So I guess I decided I'm going to try and make the interior a little nicer than it is now. I've got carpet, seats, console. Mainly I think I need the chrome stuff, trim, around the gauges, knobs..... I know the knobs and handles can be bought aftermarket, what about the other stuff? Do I just need to look for a parts car?

I was just bent over to get the trim pieces that hold the upper door panels on. They quoted one price, then raised it $110 after I shipped them. This is twice in a row from 2 different shops. $360 including shipping. A whole bumper is only $450. I call BS.
And I wish I could've found nice Comet chrome knobs for the dash on my Falcon, they are just plastic.

That doesn't sound good. Were you buying from individuals, or was it from shops?

I sent my original pieces to be rechromed. First quote $500 in Melbourne Fl., then $300 in S. Atlanta, lastly $220 at Salt Lake Chrome. That is where I sent them. The last price change was a chrome shop in Louisiana.

I saw that but I didn't think the convertible pieces would be the same as far as trim goes, like along the pillars and above the windshield. The gauge cluster chrome appears to be really similar to mine. Thanks though.bmmaurer wrote:http://www.cometcentral.com/forum/viewt ... 15&t=15063

I may be able to hook you up with some trim and parts if still needed. I'm consolidating m 62 S22 and 63 S22 parts cars now and sending what's left to scrap within the next couple of weeks. I think I have everything I need for my other 63 S22. Once I have everything together and somewhat organized I'll let you know what I have. If there is anything specific you still need, let me know.

Thanks, but I think I've got my stuff cleaned up enough to work. Not show pieces but good for what I wanted.Moses wrote:I may be able to hook you up with some trim and parts if still needed. Hi Moses,
I have a 63 custom. You would not have any front window chrome would you? I also need a hood hinge spring.
